ATV Trail Information

When riding the DeVaney Trail, please go slow when approaching the bridges and riding off the bridges.

The club has gotten written consent from the Town of Montezuma to use their land and town roads with some Exceptions where you CANNOT RIDE YOUR ATV AT ALL: Town Park, Town Hall, Highway Garage, Historic sites and the Cemetery.

So please stay out of these locations because any violation by any club member will result in the Town taking away their consent and they will start handing out tickets for trespassing.

Please be advised, the trails are closed to Free Bridge until further notice. We are trying to get them back open, so do not ride them!

MEMBERS: Work on the trails will resume in the Spring unless otherwise noted.  We need your help! Please click here for the sign-up form and let us know how you can help with the various events and work details. If you can help in any way with our upcoming events or with trail maintenance, we could definitely use your help. Thanks

When you are riding along side of a road please stay at least 1 foot from the edge of the pavement.  Riding close to the edges causes the dirt to erode and then the pavement breaks off, which does not please the State, County or Town Highway Depts. and we are trying to work with them.   Thanks.

Please stay off the dike on the trail to Port Byron, by order of DEC. It has been seeded and is off limits. We will be making a new trail to bypass it.

* The DEC is buying up more land that was part of our trail system and closing it to ATV riders.  Please be aware of DEC posted areas.  If you are caught, they will stop you and confiscate your ATV.

Reminder Notice: During a club ride, a member was consuming alcohol and the police were notified.  While the member was not legally intoxicated, it was determined they had been drinking.  This person is no longer a member.  We have a standing policy of zero tolerance for alcohol or drugs when riding the trails or attending a club function.  It's the law.  Do not drink and ride!

TO ALL MEMBERS IN THE ALL COUNTY ATV CLUB:

You cannot legally cross a bridge on a state highway. We are trying to get some kind of permit or something. I do not want any misunderstandings and getting yourself in trouble. The only LEGAL way is to push your machine across the bridge with your motor OFF, until we get something worked out.
